Signing contract with the Representative Office of Japan

On the 16^th of February 2010, AlQuds Educational TV / the Institute of Modern Media / AlQuds University, held a contract signing celebration at the IMM premises in AlBireh, among the attendance were Mr. Naofumi HASHIMOTO, Representative of Japan to the PA and Dr. Sari Nusseibeh, President of AlQuds University. The contract is for the first “Grassroots Cultural Grant Project (GCGP)” to be given by the Representative Office of Japan to the Palestinians and is under the title “THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE TV PROGRAMS OF ALQUDS EDUCATIONAL TV”, where the Representative Office of Japan will provide the AlQuds Educational TV with the funds to purchase three top of the line Japanese TV programs from NHK International, Inc., a prominent production company. The programs are dubbed in Arabic will be broadcast over the period of 5 years on AQTV. The three programs are family friendly, with the first being a puppet theater for children, the second being 10 minutes of science, and the third being life stories of innovators. AQTV is proud to be the only Palestinian TV showing these programs because they are not only high quality, but also educational and beneficial for the Palestinian society.
